WHAT IS SEX THERAPY?

Sex therapy is regular therapy but with a therapist who is specially trained in sexuality and sexual health. This includes sexual dysfunctions, sexual trauma, infidelity, sex / porn addiction, sexual orientation, non-monogamy, gender diversity, and so on.

It is my goal to provide a sex positive, non-judgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable talking about any sex related issues that are troubling them. In my experience, it is often shame and lack of sexual education that leads to one's inability to accept themselves. In my office, we will work together to increase self-acceptance, understanding, and gain practical sex education in order to reach your therapeutic goals.

Individual or Couples Sex Therapy

Whether you are in a relationship or not, sex therapy can help you manage sexual dilemmas such as:

Anxiety About Performance
Erectile Dysfunction
Infidelity
Intimacy
Libido Enhancement
Love / lust conflicts
Love Addiction
Orgasm Difficulties
Personal Growth
Pelvic Pain
Sex / Porn Addictions
Sexuality
Sexual Dysfunctions
Sexual Phobias
Sexual Self Confidence
Sexual Traumas / PTSD (see below)
Vaginismus / Vulvodynia
and more!

Sexual Assault Survivors / PTSD

Whether the assault occurred yesterday or 30 years ago, deciding to see a therapist to support you in your journey is a key step in overcoming the traumatic experience. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, individuals learn effective coping skills, ways to manage your feelings, and strategies for overcoming triggers. Individuals will have the opportunity to explore thoughts that they may not have said out loud to anyone before as this is a safe space.
